What Makes Cadbury World So Popular?

Most of us have a sweet tooth to some extent and if you love your chocolate you will certainly love the experience you’ll have at Cadbury World in Birmingham.

Thousands of people visit the attraction every year and for some of them it isn’t their first visit either. If you haven’t yet been you might think that it is just about finding out how it is made and then getting the chance to buy some in the gift shop.

That might be an essential part of the experience you get at Cadbury’s, but there is a lot more to it than that as you will soon find out.

Perhaps one of the most fascinating parts of spending some time at Cadbury World is finding out how cocoa first found its way to this country. You’ll be amazed how far we have come since the Mayan Indians first discovered those innocent looking beans many centuries ago. From there you will travel to the present day to see what the company does to make them into the wonderful chocolate we love.

Part way through the tour you will find yourself being introduced to a virtual version of John Cadbury – the man with the surname that is now world famous. Cadbury is a successful business today, but it didn’t start out that way. John and his sons went through many hard times and really had to persevere to make their chocolate into a success.

We’ve all tasted chocolate at one time or another – some of us more often than others – but we don’t tend to think too much about how it is made. It is only when you actually look at the bars and the sweets in their shiny wrappers that you realise every single one of the Cadbury chocolates and bars comes out of this very factory.

How does that process take place? You’ll find out when you pay a visit. There are different consoles showing different videos – each one associated with a well known Cadbury chocolate product. So you can find out how they are all made.

The visit also takes you through a small section of the actual factory where all the Cadbury products are made. You never know what you might see here, but whatever might be going on you will certainly enjoy it.

As you can see there is a lot to take in here, and of course you can buy some chocolate for you and the family as you leave too. There are lots of hotels in Birmingham you can stay in overnight before seeing another attraction and then heading back home.

Whatever you do, make sure that Cadbury World is the highlight of your stay in Birmingham.
